TALENT PROJECT MARKET
This is a hands-on training programme for producers and directors participating in the Berlinale Talent Campus.
The Talent Project Market (TPM), in cooperation with the Berlinale Co-Production Market, offers young producers and directors the opportunity to present their film projects to experienced co-producers and financiers.
The Berlinale Co-Production Market is a 2 ½ day event during the Berlin International Film Festival which brings together around 500 producers and financiers from all over the world for exclusive and concentrated networking. Here, producers working on international co-productions can introduce their pre-selected projects and find co-production partners and/or financiers. (For further information please click here)
The Talent Project Market is one of the Talent Campus hands-on-training programmes and a special section within the Berlinale Co-Production Market for 10 up-and-coming producers and directors participating in the Berlinale Talent Campus. You can apply with a feature film project for theatrical release and suitable for an international co-production. The script must be finished and it is preferable (although not necessary) if a producer and/or some financing is attached already.
An international jury selects around 10 projects by Talents. If your project is invited, you will participate in the 3-day TPM programme and have the chance to talk about your project to various potential partners who attend the Berlinale Co-Production Market in pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings.
The first day is dedicated to the preparation of your meetings and learning about the international business and markets. A renowned pitching trainer, our international TPM jury and other industry experts are there to help you, to give you valuable advice on how to present and to market your project, and to tell you about the ins and outs of international co-production, financing and markets.
The following days are dedicated to one-on-one meetings with potential partners for your project. They read about your project beforehand in the Berlinale Co-Production Market Project Catalogue and can request 30-minute meetings with you which will be pre-scheduled by us.
In addition to all this, the TPM offers a variety of informal networking opportunities. You will have the chance to exchange ideas and share your projects with other participants of the TPM as well.
As a TPM participant you will automatically be considered for the Talent Highlight Pitch, sponsored by the VFF - Verwertungsgesellschaft der Film- und Fernsehproduzenten. Three Talents will be selected by our international TPM jury for the Talent Highlight Pitch where they pitch their projects in front of some of the participants of the Berlinale Co-Production Market and receive awards endowed with 3.000 Euros each for further project development.
Many projects presented in previous TPM editions have found their partners here and are realised by now. Here you can find a list of finished TPM projects:
