The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany’s worldwide cultural institution. It promotes the study of German abroad and encourages international cultural exchange. The Goethe-Institut also fosters knowledge about Germany by providing information on its culture, society and politics.

With the network of Goethe-Institutes, Goethe-Centres, cultural societies, reading rooms, and exam and language centres, it has played a central role in the cultural and educational policies of Germany for over 50 years.

In cooperation with FIPRESCI and the Goethe-Institut, the Berlinale Talent Campus organizes a special hands-on training programme for young journalists, the Talent Press. Young journalists come to the Berlin International Film Festival to acquaint themselves with current trends in world cinema. Under the tutelage of prominent film writers they share their impressions and insights by writing daily articles for the Berlinale Talent Campus website. The articles also appear on the websites of FIPRESCI and the Goethe-Institut.
