'Off-Campus' Day Trips for Talents

In addition to the events at the Theatre Hebbel am Ufer (HAU), the Berlinale Talent Campus offers ‘off-campus’ excursions to the Berlin-Brandenburg region on designed days during the Campus. Talents are encouraged to sign up for day-trips, which include: Costume House Theaterkunst, European Film Market, The Film and Television Academy (HFF) “Konrad Wolf” Sound Studio/Department, and The Museum for Film and Television.

European Film Market (EFM)

The business centre of the Berlinale Film Festival, the European Film Market (EFM), located in the magnificent renaissance hall of the Martin-Gropius-Bau and at the EFM Marriott Offices radiates a highly charged atmosphere. One of the most important annual events for the film industry, this is where international producers, distributors, buyers and sales agents converge to discover quality films. In 2009 over 400 exhibitors from 55 countries and over 690 films were presented to professional visitors.

Theaterkunst Berlin

Talents have the opportunity to visit the costum house Theaterkunst during the excursions organised by the Berlinale Talent Campus in cooperation with Theaterkunst – “Art of Theater”, which include a guided tour. With a high quality collection covering all periods, styles and trends, it supplies both national and international productions of all sizes. In the 100 years of its existence, it has brought together a collection of more than ten million items stored in three branches and the headquarters in Berlin.

German Film Orchestra Babelsberg

The Berlinale Talent Campus in cooperation with the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg, HFF “Konrad Wolf" organises an excursion to Berlin’s film music world, exclusively for sound designers and music composers, taking them to the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg, the only professional orchestra for film music in Germany.
