Born in Toronto, Canada, Mark Pariselli earned a BFA Honors in Film Production from York University where he graduated with the distinction of magna cum laude. His debut short film ‘After’ (2009) screened at over 40 international film festivals including Frameline (San Francisco), NewFest (New York) and Inside Out (Toronto) where Pariselli receieved an Honorable Mention for the Best Up-and-Coming Toronto Film or Video Maker Award (2009). ‘After’ was shortlisted for the Iris Prize (2009) and won the award for Best Short Film at the 2011 Sicilia Queer Film Festival (Italy).
Pariselli’s sophomore short film, ‘Frozen Roads’ (2010) was well received at international film festivals including Image+Nation (Montreal), NewFest, Inside Out and Queer Lisboa (Lisbon) and continues to be selected for screenings.
2012 will see the completion of a new experimental short film entitled 'Kiss.'
